The Great Commission. Why do we call it that? "The" indicates there is only one. "Great" tells us this is something that should take priority in our lives. "Commission" reminds us we have been given the authority and the responsibility to carry-out orders. The Great Commission, as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20, is Jesus' invitation for us to have a part in His awesome plan for all humanity to know Him. He created you and desires to use youyour gifts, talents, time and resources, to give the gift of following Jesus to others! Will you join Him? Surrender all you are and all you have to God. Ask Him to use you in His great plan for the nations, across the street, across town, across the world. Please prayerfully consider these mission opportunities, asking God where He would have you join Him. As a college student eager to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth, I became friends with a missionary serving in the bush of Tanzania. He challenged me with this:
Being a missionary is not crossing the sea it's seeing the Cross.
